Our Story

The Lava Dolls formed in 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Much like islands formed by the volcanic outpouring of molten hot magma, the creativity of The Lava Dolls pours forth into new events on the Big Island we call home.

Our first themed show took place at local favorite My Bar, entitled "Boob Ribbon State Fair" and featured solo and group burlesque and dance performance, as well as audience participation acts curated former member Alice D. Luscious, and skillfully guided by host Miss V.  Each act focused in on that American tradition of the state fair that happens nationwide during the hot summer months of the year.

We chose a model of a smaller show as a "teaser," which is followed a month later by a larger show with added pole and aerial performances at the Aloha Theatre. The full fledged Boob Ribbon State Fair featured core members Nikkita Von Teaza, Stevie Blackstar, Emma Noire, Aesha Wildfyre, and former member Velvet L'Amour.  Guest performers included Bebeh Stepz, Nicole Karma, Margo La Derriere, Shelby Renee, and Amy Johnson of Heaven in a Wildflower.

We are consistently brimming with new ideas, and can't wait to bring more themed cabaret adventures to Kailua-Kona soon! Keep an eye on our calendar and give us a follow on Facebook or Instagram to stay abreast of our upcoming performances.
